Eleanor Pauling, 98, of Granada Hills, retired sewing instructor for Singers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary recited at 7, both at Noble Chapel, San Fernando. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand's Catholic Church, San Fernando. Burial will be in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

ELEANOR M. PAULING
Eleanor Morse was born October 8, 1891, at Eagle Grove, to William C. Morse and Emma A. Morse. She was married to Richard J. Pauling on April 14, 1910, at the Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove. She became a widow on January 21, 1930. She retired as a sewing instructor after many years in North Hollywood, Calif., for singers. She died on May 27, 1990, at Renaldi Convalescent Hospital, Granada Hills, California, she was a five year resident there.She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Clara, three brothers, Charles (a twin of Clara), Stephan and Lawrence. She is survived by four daughters formerly of Eagle Grove: Madelle Pedersen, San Fernando, Theresa Hodges, San Diego, Evelyn Stevens, Quartz Hill, and Eleanor Lyon, Sherman Oaks, all in California. Six grandchildren Richard Pederson of Eagle Grove, Norman Pederson Mission Hills, Calif., Jean Rancelli, Quartz Hill, Gary Stevens, Forestville, and Laura McLaughlin all of Calif., and Eleanor Lawrence, Tahlequah, Okla. Fourteen great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services were held Friday, June First St. Ferdinands Church in San Fernando, California, at 10 am. Graveside [Calvary cemetery] services in Eagle Grove, were held on Monday at 11 am.
