Harriet Hoot, 85, died Saturday Feb. 24, 2001, at Perry Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Perry with Father Bill Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Sisson Funeral Home. She was born March 12, 1915, in Wheaton, Ill., to Arthur N. and Irene F. Bean. She married Delmar C. Hoot, September 1943 in St. Paul, Minn. She lived in Perry for 54 years, moving from Eagle Grove, Iowa. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, St. Mark's Altar Auxiliary, Ladies Golf Association, a 50-year member of the Friday Bridge Club, PEO and Perry Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband April 15, 1988, one brother and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Tom Hoot of Altus and Phil Hoot and his wife Marian of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Francie and her husband David Chandler of Blackwell; two sisters, Barbara Akins of Siloam Springs, Ark. and Margaret Piper of St. Paul, Minn.; two granddaughters, Angela Boese and her husband Ray and Currie Hoot and two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Trey Boese.
