Shirley I. Davis of Odessa died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1922 in Ada, Minn. She was raised in Goldfield, Iowa and worked in defense plants in San Diego during World War II. She married Roy L. Davis on Nov. 9, 1945, in San Diego and served with him as a missionary in the territory of Hawaii. She was a church secretary in Kansas City, Mo. while Roy attended seminary and was a pastors wife until he became the administrator and she became his office manager of a nursing home in Logan, Iowa for 17 years until they retired in 1989. They moved to Odessa from Logan, Iowa in 1989 and were members of First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Survivors include her husband, Roy L. Davis of Odessa; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Nanci Davis of Prescott, Ariz., Mike and Dee Dee Davis of Wylie, Timothy and Angelie Davis of Flowermound and Mark and Dee Dee Davis of Moravian Falls, N.C. She also is survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
