IOWA FALLS - Arthur T. Hill, 89, of Iowa Falls died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Friday, April 30, at Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with Rev. Don Preston officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Arthur was born Dec. 2, 1914, at Dows to Clarence and Mildred (Bates) Hill. He graduated from Dows High School in 1933. On May 21, 1939, Arthur was united in marriage to Ilene Martin. He was a lifelong farmer. Arthur enjoyed football and school plays. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Ilene, of Iowa Falls; three daughters, Janice Gregory and husband Dr. Richard of Vermillion, S.D., Judy Duckett and husband Ronald of Randalia, and Janet Kaufman and husband Larry of Ankeny; two sons, Steven Hill of Geneva and Stan Hill of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lavonne Morris of Albert Lea, Minn., and Evelyn Boyington of State Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Veva White, Mildred Pepper and Edith Fitz; and four brothers, Laurence, Aubrey, Laurel and Clair Hill.
