Louana Evelyn Higgins passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004. She was born May 18, 1921, in Renwick, Iowa, to O.W. Chapman and Madlyn Rose Fisher Chapman. She was the third of a family that included four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Higgins attended schools in Renwick and Clarion, Iowa. She married Harold B. Olson in Eagle Grove, Iowa, in 1938. Mr. Olson died in Korea in 1951. She married Daniel P. Higgins in 1953. Mr. Higgins preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. Higgins was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. She was the Oracle for the local chapter of the Royal Neighbors of America. She was active at the Fort Collins Senior Center.

Her son and daughter-in-law, Keith F. and Diane L. Olson, and three grandchildren, Kevin Olson, Kenneth Olson and Kalina Olson, all of Fort Collins, survive her. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Deacon Warren Lybarger will officiate.
