The Rev. Ivan L. Hoffman Sr., 79, of Rudy, Arkansas died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a resident of the Hobbtown community for several years and was a former pastor of Hobbtown Community Church. He was pastor of churches in Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas for 43 years. He was a member of Parkview Alliance Church and was also a member of the North Arkansas Gospel Mission. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ettie Scott Hoffman; and four brothers. Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Parkview Alliance Church under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at French Cemetery in Woolstock, Iowa, under the direction of Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hoffman of the home; three daughters, Rosemary Hays of Alma, Betty Dillenburg of Rudy and Rachel Van Devender of Alma; two sons, Ivan Hoffman Jr. and Terry Hoffman, both of Rudy; a sister, Darlene Marshall of Fairfield, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Larry Phipps, Adam Konopka, Kenny Sagely, Richard Nuckles, Bob Wineinger and Jerry Kraus.
