SEVERNA PARK, Md. - Peter C. Sargent, 61, of Severna Park, MD, and formerly of Thor, Iowa, died Wed., November 15, 2006 at the Hospice Unit of Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD. Mr. Sargent was born in Greenfield, Mass. on October 10, 1945, to Ralph and Marjorie (Moison) Sargent. He was a graduate of Mt. Hermon Boy's School, Northfield, Mass. and Iowa State University. He served in the United States Air Force in Germany. Mr. Sargent was the president of Pre-Val Specialists, Inc., a consulting network security company in Serverna Park. He was formerly employed by the Internal Revenue Service, CoAct and the National Security Agency in the Washington D.C./Maryland area. While attending Iowa State, he was employed with Equimco in Eagle Grove. Mr. Sargent enjoyed traveling, especially to South Carolina and Florida, antiquing, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, woodworking, golfing and music.

Mr. Sargent is survived by his wife Ann Salus of Severna Park; daughter Heather (David) Fogelman, Thor; grandchildren Josh, Fort Dodge and Danielle, Badger; great-grandchildren Kierstin and Lilly; sister Betty (Dr. Gordon) Pyper, Vero Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law Janice Sargent, Turners Falls, Mass.; and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary E. (Lisa) Sargent, brother Ted, and both parents. A memorial service will be held for family and friends in Severna Park on Dec. 2, 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
