HAMPTON - Charlene A. Dirksen, 79, of Hampton died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton with Rev. Arthur J. Zewert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Zion Reformed Church Cemetery, rural Sheffield. Charlene was born March 4, 1925, in Dows to Charles and Charlotte (Cook) Kughn. She was educated in the Hampton schools. On June 27, 1947, Charlene was united in marriage to Wilbur Dirksen at Nashua. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Charlene was a member of the Zion Reformed Church, rural Sheffield. Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Dirksen of Hampton; and two sisters, Ellen Skeires of Hampton and Verda Cook of Courtland, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one infant brother.08/07/2004
