DONALD VAN GERPEN
Feb. 22, 1931-Jan. 16, 2007

Donald Van Gerpen, 75, of San Diego died Jan. 16. He was born in Buffalo Center, Iowa, and was a detention processing manager for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. He retired from the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Van Gerpen; daughters, Melinda Rocco of San Diego, Brenda Myers of Belmond, Iowa, Pamela DiMuro of Santee and Angela Lundberg of Liberty, Mo.; sister, June Christensen of Clarion, Iowa; brother, Pete Van Gerpen of Iowa City, Iowa, John Van Gerpen of Marion, Iowa, Jerry Van Gerpen of Nampa, Idaho, and Larry Van Gerpen of Emerado, N.D.; and five grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. tomorrow, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. Inurnment: Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Arrangements: Clairemont Mortuary.
