Charlene Nelson, 58, of Clarion, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Wright Medical Center at Clarion. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Duncombe, with Rev. Brad Pelzel presiding. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, north of Duncombe. Visitation was at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center Wednesday. A scripture service was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Charlene Marie Nelson, daughter of Harry and Clara Nygaard Nelson, was born March 3, 1948 at Webster City. She attended Webster City schools, graduating in 1967. She had resided at the USA Health Center at Clarion for the past 10 years. Charlene is survived by her mother, Clara Nelson of Fort Dodge; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Sally Nelson of Eagle Grove; sister, Karen Sundine of Webster City; special friend, Bill Engels of Eagle Grove; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Duncombe.
