Marie Vulgamott, 92, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Marian Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 29th in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Marie is survived by her nieces, Judy Olson of Fort Dodge, Rochelle Johnson of Ash Grove, MO, Julie Gooch of Des Moines, Gail Barney of Seneca, SC, Jacki Roe of Charlottesville, VA; one nephew, Garry Bauer of Bettendorf, IA; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Taylor and Millie Blanche (Riley) Vulgamott; her two sisters, Golda Bauer and Grace Wehrheim Boushelle; and two nephews, Derrald Bauer and Richard Bauer.

Marie Fern Vulgamott was born January 16, 1915 near Eagle Grove, Iowa. She graduated from Webster City High School and moved to Fort Dodge in 1942. She worked for 15 years as office manager and accountant at Central Auto Supply. On October 1, 1967 she began working as a savings counselor at First Federal Savings and also served as an escrow coordinator. Marie retired from First Federal Savings and Loan in October 1979. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a past treasurer of the Sacred Heart Ladies Union. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
