Bette Ann Nelson, 71, of Waterford, Michigan, died on Tuesday, November 19, in Pontiac, Michigan. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 22, at the Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, Waterford. Bette, daughter of Elvin and Ann Shepherd, was born on January 22, 1931, in Belmond. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Raymond Shepherd; and sister, Karen Shepherd. Survivors include her husband, Charles Nelson of Waterford; her mother, Ann Shepherd of Pontiac; son, Craig Nelson; daughter, Janis White; and two aunts, Betty Lepper of Belmond and Esther Cooper of Hampton.
