Robert E. DAAKE, 71, 1210A Park Road, died at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Hospital. He had been in failing health since November 2001. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Paul J. and Cora C. WILSON DAAKE, he married Sandra Ann JAMESON June 11, 1961, in Rochester. She died Aug. 30, 1999. Mr. Daake, a registered surveyor, was Fulton County Surveyor for 12 years. He was a 1949 Rochester High School graduate and a Rochester resident most of his life. He was a member of Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 79, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 852, both of Rochester, and the Newcastle Lions Club, Talma. He served in the U.S. Army and was active in the local Democratic party.

Survivors include one daughter, Dana Diane STAVEDAHL, Rochester; one son, David D. DAAKE and wife Janet, Rochester; four grandchildren, Jason STAVEDAHL and wife Tanya, Jessica STAVEDAHL and Gracie DAAKE, all of Rochester, and Christopher STAVEDAHL, Fort Wayne; two great-grandchildren, Caine and Lilly STAVEDAHL, Rochester; two brothers-in-law, Skip JAMESON and Vitte RUDNICKAS, both of Rochester. Preceding in death with his wife were his parents. Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Will LAWSON officiating. Burial will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 79 will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
