Services Held for Henry Schutt, 72

Henry (Hank) Meyer Schutt was born August 10, 1898 in Wall Lake Township in Wright County, the son of Gustave and Margaret Meyer Schutt. He was educated in Wall Lake No.2 rural school. On September 16, 1925 he was united in marriage to Mable Heiden. They lived their first year of married life on a farm south of Wall Lake. From there they moved to a farm 2-1/2 miles northeast of Williams where they had lived for 44 years.

To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive him along with his wife, Mable: Mrs. Henry (Anna) Huisinga, Clarion; Mrs. Melvin (Marilyn) Ubben, Williams; John Schutt, Blairsburg; Fred Schutt, Williams; William H. Schutt, Williams; Mrs. Ronald (Sharon) Brandt, Ackley; Thomas Schutt, Webster City. Also surviving are eight grandsons and seven granddaughters, his pride and joy, along with two brothers, John of Clarion and Glenn of Woolstock and two sisters, Clara, Mrs. Carl Abbott and Goldie, Mrs. Frank Beisner, both of Clarion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Gregory Martin Schutt, two sisters, Katie and Lillian and two brothers, William Fred and Wilbur (Bob).

He entered the Story City Hospital on October 19, 1970 and passed away October 25. Funeral services with Rev. David Anderson, pastor, were held at Vernon Lutheran Church, Dows, on Tuesday, October 27 at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in Clarion Evergreen Cemetery with Eyler Funeral Home in charge. Miss Monica Denger was organist for soloist, Mrs. Pete Rodriguez, who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Rock of Ages". Honorary casket bearers were Charlie Olson, Clifford Walker, Guy Ellison, Albert Evans, Ed Gardalen and Earl McGrath. Active casket bearers were Dewey Doyle, James O'Donnell, Marvin Williams, George Anderson, John Maubach and Howard Frye.

He will be missed by his family and a host of friends and relatives.
