Myrtle Paine Gill, 97, formerly of Tipton, died Friday in Heritage Acres Care Center, Cedar Rapids, after a lingering illness. Graveside committal services and burial: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Fry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Moore of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Amanda Kennedy of Wadena, Minn.

TIPTON, Iowa - Myrtle Paine Gill, 97, formerly of Tipton, died Friday at Heritage Acres Nursing Home, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Kastler Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, is in charge of arrangements. She attended Iowa State Teachers College and had taught school. Myrtle Paine married Lester Gill in 1926 in Garden Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Gill was a member of Tipton United Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Moore, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Amanda Kennedy, Wadena, Minn.
