Mrs. Bergetta "Rusty" Dunn, 71, of the 3000 block of Fox Run in Des Moines, Iowa, died of complications of metastatic breast cancer Monday, March 5, 2001, in Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services: 11 a.m. today, Faith Lutheran Church, Clive, of which she was a member. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Mrs. Dunn was born in Callender, Iowa, and lived in Eagle Grove before moving to Des Moines in 1990. She had been a homemaker, a principal shareholder in Dunn Investment Co., and owner of Security Bank in Eagle Grove and F & M Bank in Manchester and Cedar Rapids. She was a member of PEO, Des Moines Bridge House, Petticoat Mutual Investment Club, Wakonda Club and Des Moines Club. Mrs. Dunn was a volunteer for Reach to Recovery Breast Cancer Survivors and a fund raiser for Blank Park Zoo. She enjoyed bridge, tennis and golf.

She is survived by her companion, Ray Carlson of Okoboji; three sons, Michael (and Cindy) Dunn of Manchester, Marty (and Jean) Dunn of Des Moines and Scott (and Robbie Moray) of New York, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Tirzah (and Ron) Wedewer of Dyersville, Nate Dunn of Minneapolis, Gabriella Soria-Dunn of Des Moines, Pat Breitbach and Sara Breitbach, both of Manchester; two great-grandchildren, Seth Wedewer and Zach Wedewer, both of Dyersville; and her brother, Ron (and Toni) Rustebakke of Corrales, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Wayne Dunn; and her parents, Albert and Inger Rustebakke.

The family will greet friends following services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Blank Park Zoo, c/o Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd., Clive, IA 50325.
