Florence Rehnblom, 90, of Coralville, Iowa, died Saturday, November 19, 2005, at the Windmill Manor Care Center at Coralville. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at Graceland Cemetery at Webster City. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today and Wednesday until 1:15 p.m.

Florence Ethel Hammitt, daughter of Owen and Sylvia Goodrich Hammitt, was born January 13, 1915, on a farm near Lehigh. She attended the Cummings rural school, east of Lehigh. On February 1, 1938, she married G. Ivan Rehnblom at her parents' home. The couple farmed near Lehigh, Blairsburg, Stratford and Webster City. They moved to Webster City in 1966. After Mr. Rehnblom's death in 1970, she moved to Coralville in 1976, to Burlington in 1980 and returned to Coralville in 1987. She was mainly a mother and homemaker, but in Webster City had worked at Brown's Westend Restaurant and at D's Coffee Shop.

Florence is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Larry Rowe of Tiffin; son and daughter-in-law, Owen and Pat Rehnblom of North Liberty; grandchildren, Bill, John (Kari), Jeff (Sherry), Brian (Angie) and Teresa Beem; step-great-grand-children, Kari and Kasi Tenborg; great-grandchildren, Bobby and Megan Ewing; Caleb, Colton and Cassidie Beem; Tyler Lizer; Andy Buske; Sean and Caden Beem; Mic Pelz; Sydney and Brock Beem; Brandon Jessen; Kim Fuller and Chris Pierce; great-great-grandchildren, Jonathan Ewing and Hunter Pierce; brother and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mary Hammitt of Jacksonville, FL; JoAnn Hammitt of Lehigh; Janet Hammitt of Anaheim, CA; sister, Mildred Grandgeorge of Woolstock; several nieces and nephews; extended family, Vel Brereton of Fairfield; Melva and Keith Mapel of Coralville; Barb and Gary Watkins of Kansas City, KS; Rick and Deb Rowe of Batavia; Jana and Joe Tronedle of Oskaloosa and many others who knew her as Grandma Flossie. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lucy Hammitt; brothers, Eldridge, Dean and Orville Hammitt; brother-in-law, Clarence Grandgeorge; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gustus and Teresa Rehnblom; brother-in-law and his wife, Oliver and Ione Rehnblom; sister-in-law and husband, Martha (Rehnblom) and Mike Williams and a nephew, Steven Williams. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Webster City and the American Legion Auxiliary of Coralville.
