B. Jean Dwiggins, 86, of 220 19th St. NE, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in Mercy Medical Center after a sudden illness. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include four daughters, Sally Denny of Cedar Rapids, Dixie (Ralph) Thomason of Hobart, Ind., Peggy (Denis) Bunce of Marion and Molly (David) Haskell of Nashville, Tenn.; seven sisters, Honey Spangler, Dorie Cole, Boot Ellsworth, Mona Knudsen, Peache Sunner, Bev Knudsen and Kay Wayman; and two brothers, Putty Derscheid and Al Derscheid. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Bryan and Cyndy Davis, Kym and Drew Denny, Katie Thomason, Dana Lampe and Beau Bunce; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred and Margaret Derscheid; and three brothers, Bud, Max and Jimmy Derscheid.

Jean was born March 23, 1920, in Eagle Grove, the daughter of Glen and Edith Norem Derscheid. She married Edward Love Dwiggins of Drew, Miss., on April 25, 1944, in Eagle Grove. He died July 18, 1983. Jean was a beloved mother and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Mark William Grundy: Memorial Mass, 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, by Father John Gossman. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
