Mavis Jean (Kaduce) Weaver, 68, formerly of Belmond, died Wednesday (Nov. 10, 1999) at Gardens Care Center in Kingman, Ariz. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Reformed Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Reformed Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond, and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church Monday.

Mavis Jean (Kaduce) Weaver, the daughter of Joe and Bessie (Meints) Kaduce, was born April 6, 1931, on the family farm in Wisner Township, Franklin County. Mavis attended Wisner No. 4 Country School and graduated from Meservey High School in 1948. She married Franklin J. (Joey) Hall on Dec. 20, 1952, in Hampton. Mavis worked for several years at Mode-O-Day in Mason City, Hanford Hotel, Weaver Construction, Clear Lake Bakery, and at the Quality Inn in Kingman, Ariz., as laundry supervisor. On July 3, 1980, she married Earl (Bud) Weaver in Albert Lea, Minn. Mavis loved gardening, bird baths and reading. She was a very spiritual person with a good sense of humor.

Mavis is survived by her two daughters, Monica Gomez and her husband, Carlos, of Orlando, Fla., and Melissa Hill and her husband, Kirk, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Gregory Hall and his wife, Michelle, of Kensett; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Anderson, Erika Anderson, Joshua Hill, Alyssa Hill, Alexandra Hill, Joey Hall and Nicole Sanderson; one great-granddaughter, Irie Hill; her mother, Bessie Kaduce, of Belmond; two sisters, Marlene Gobeli and her husband, Leonard, of Mason City, and Cynthia Sanders of Goodyear, Ariz.; two stepsons, Roger Weaver of Omaha, Neb., and Richard Weaver of Clear Lake; and a special friend, Tom Jensen of Mason City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Weaver, and her father, Joe Kaduce. Tenold Funeral Home.
