Harry E. Mennenga, 88, died Friday (Nov. 3, 1995) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Reformed Church with the Rev. Victor Folkerts officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Reformed Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Ewing Funeral Home.

Harry Edwin Mennenga was born Dec. 23, 1906 near Belmond. Survivors include his wife, Esther of Belmond; two sons, Larry Mennenga of Belmond, and Lynn Mennenga of Pontiac, Ill.; seven grandsons; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Krebs of Crete, Ill.; and two brothers, Ben Mennenga and Loren Mennenga, both of Belmond.

Harry Edwin Mennenga died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995 at the Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Nov. 6, at Immanuel Reformed Church of Belmond. Rev. Victor Folkert officiated and interment was in Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery in Belmond. Music was provided by organist, Shirley Kuhlers, and vocalists, the Men's Quartet. Casket bearers were Duan Mennenga, Scott Mennenga, Bradd Mennenga, Darren Mennenga, Todd Mennenga, Ross Mennenga, and Chadd Mennenga.

Harry, the son of John and Kate Gruis Mennenga, was born December 23, 1906, on a farm near Belmond. He was united in marriage to Esther Frohling on Febraury 9, 1934 at the Immanuel Reformed Church. After their marriage, they farmed east of Belmond until retiring too Belmond in 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elmer. He is survived by his wife, Esther of Belmond, two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Margaret Mennenga of Belmond, Lynn and Sue Mennenga of Pontiac, IL.; seven grandsons, Duan, Daren and his wife Diane, Scott, Todd, Bradd, Ross and his wife Christine, and Chadd, two great-grandchildren, Britteny and Andrew, a sister, Edna (Mrs. Ted) Krebs of Crete, IL.; and brothers, Ben Mennenga and Loren Mennenga of Belmond.
