Funeral services were held on May 26 at the United Church of Christ for Leona Elizabeth Wilson, 51, who died at the Belmond Hospital May 22, following a stroke. Rev. Robert Hicks officiated. Burial was in the Belmond cemetery. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Leona was born Sept. 8, 1924 to William and Annette Martha Prenzler Jenkins. She was graduated from Belmond High School, and was a member of the United Church of Christ. On Dec. 8, 1958, she was married to Charles Wilson of Blairsburg.

She was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her husband, Charles, son William and daughter, Elizabeth; also by her father, William Jenkins, brother Edgar Jenkins of Colorado Springs,Co, sister Ethel (Mrs. Raymond Ross), Byron, Minn.

Casket bearers were Donald Dorr, Ivan Evans, Dennis Harms, Durwood LaRue, James Peterson,and Lanny Ross of Byron, Minn.
