Avon D. Armour, 81, died on Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 19, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond, with Pastor Rod Hopp officiating. Interment was in the Belmond Cemetery. Music was presented by Eldoris Bunnell, organist and Marilyn Janssen, soloist. Casket bearers were Kyle Braun, Jesse Armour, Jeff Williamson, Chad Armour, Matt Armour and Mark Armour. Ushers were Al Charlson and Larry Beyer.

Avon, the daughter of Bernold and Neva (Oler) Kinseth, was born on April 30, 1923, in Iowa Township in Wright County. She graduated from the Alexander High School in 1941. Avon and Ronald Armour were married in 1941. She was employed by Kinseth Plumbing and Heating for over 30 years. Avon enjoyed golf, reading, baking, and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Avon was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1957; sons, Robert, Mike and Terry; brother, Kenny Kinseth; and sister, Ardith Buchanan. Avon is survived by her daughter, Deb (Fred) Burnham of Belmond; granddaughters, Jessica (Jeff) Williamson of Belmond, April (Noah) Wolter of Belmond and Jodi (Kyle) Braun of Belmond; grandsons, Matt (Sue) Armour of Mason City, Chad (Angie) Armour of Belmond, Mark (Jen) Armour of Belmond and Jesse Armour of Des Moines; sister, Maxine Dorr of Belmond; brothers, Roger Kinseth, Roland (Marian) Kinseth and Larry (Shari) Kinseth, all of Belmond; and ten great-grandchildren.
