Eric Steven Warner, 56, of rural Goldfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. The Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove is in charge of the arrangements.

Eric Steven Warner, was born on August 7, 1950 in Hampton, the son of Wesley and Dorothy Watts Warner. He graduated from the Goldfield High School and Iowa Central Community College in Eagle Grove. He served with the Iowa National Guard, 194th Artillery, Humboldt, as a medical corpsman from 1970 to 1976. Eric worked as a tiler for 32 years with the business he owned, along with his brother and sisters, Warner Tiling Service, Inc. Eric was a big reader, especially of military history. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He enjoyed his family and his friends and the family pets. He liked to shoot and was a long time member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by a brother, Phil and his wife, Mary; a sister, Shelley; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Patrick.
