Daily Sun, [San Bernardino, California] Sat., Feb. 9, 1907, pg 5

After an illness of one week from pneumonia, Henry Hinton passed away last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jennie Huyck, 953 Third street, aged 83 years. The death of the aged man was probably greatly hastened by the death of his wife October 22 last, he grieving continually over the seperation from his helpmate of more than a half century, and he longing to follow her to the other side. His health from the time of her death has failed rapidly and he fell an easy victim to an attack of pneumonia which came on a week ago.

The deceased has been a resident of San Bernardino for the past 20 years and was well known to a large circle of friends. He was a native of Flinshire, England, coming to Iowa in 1871, from his native land and a few years later to San Bernardino. The deceased leaves a family consisting of Edwin Hinton of Goldfield, Iowa, Mrs. W. H. Taylor and Mrs. Jennie Huyck and the grandson, C. B. Huyck of this city. Pending word from the son in Iowa, no arrangements have as yet been made for the funeral service.
