Betty Jean Winters, 83, of Iowa Falls, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Scenic Manor Care Facility. Private family services for Betty Jean Winters will be held. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o her husband: Clyde Winters, 1409 Fremont, Room 31, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Betty Jean Gaulke was born March 6, 1923, at Dows, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer Albert and Elsie Mae [Hackley] Gaulke. She graduated from the Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1941. On May 17, 1942, she was united in marriage to Clyde R. "Bounce" Winters at Bethany, Missouri. To this union one son was born: Gary. Betty worked as a retail store clerk for Dorothy's Fashion and Molly Hummers in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #188, Iowa Falls, and a former member of the Ladies of the Moose, Iowa Falls. Betty Jean Winters is survived by her husband: "Bounce" Winters of Iowa Falls; her son: Gary Winters and wife Christine of St. Joseph, Missouri; four grandchildren: Todd Winters and wife Stacey of Olathe, Kansas, Matthew Winters of Overland Park, Kansas, Gina Boyd and husband Brian of Denver, Colorado, Maggie Miller and husband Ben of St. Joseph, Missouri; six great grandchildren: Jack Winters of Olathe, Kansas, Aidan, Noah, and Daniel Boyd of Denver, Colorado; and Sam and Jake Judah of St. Joseph, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Elsie Gaulke; and two brothers: Kenneth Gaulke and Clair Gaulke.
