Monroe Wilson Zeiger, 52, of 1816 Lay St., died of a heart attack Sunday at Des Moines General Hospital after a short illness. A Clarion native, he lived in Des Moines about 25 years and was an accounting clerk for Iowa Power and Light Co. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Zeiger Fox of Des Moines and Shirley, at home; a son, James, at home; his step-mother, Mrs. Laura Zeiger of Humboldt; a brother, Paul Tabor; and a sister, Mrs. Vivian Phairs (sic) of Long Beach, Calif.
