M. June Thompson, 87, Goodman, Mo., died at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2006, at her home in Goodman, following a short illness. Mrs. Thompson was born Nov. 17, 1918, in Dows, Iowa, and moved to the Goodman area in 1950 from Iowa and was a homemaker. June married E.L. Thompson in 1940 at Iowa and he preceded her in death in 1964. She is survived by four children: Cathy Thompson West and husband, Terry, of Joplin, with their daughter, Angela McGinnis and husband, Marcus, with their children, Keesha, DaShawn and Drake; Ben Thompson and wife, Wanda, of St. Louis: with their son, Alan Thompson and wife, Kathleen, with their children, Heather, Jennifer, Taylor and Cody; and their daughter, Brandie Walters and husband, Jason, and their children, Tyler, Brent, Cayle and Haley; Ardie Thompson Granger of LaCrosse, Wis.: with her son, Jake Granger; Erin Pickar and husband, James, with their daughter, Marissa; their son, Ravenelle Granger; and their son, Justice Granger and wife, Denise, and son, Hunter; William Thompson and wife, Ingrid, Anderson, Mo., and daughter, Michelle. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a great-grandson. Graveside services were Monday, May 1, 2006, at 1 pm at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery south of Neosho. Friends called at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. and the family received friends Sunday from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of June may be made to the Lanagan Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels program and the Lanagan Crosslines, c/o Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
