Rites Monday For Mrs. J. Duitscher
Mrs. Joe Duitscher, 72, died Friday morning at her home in Eagle Grove. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Church in charge, Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, with the Sandvig Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, making the arrangements. The former Carrie Margaret Peterson, Mrs. Duitscher was born at Grand Ridge, Illinois, and came to with her parents when she was eight years old. She was graduated from Eagle Grove High School and Ellsworth Junior College, Iowa Falls, then taught school in this area until her marriage in 1915 at Holmes to Joe Duitscher. They farmed near Holmes until retiring and moving to Eagle Grove in 1950. Mrs. Duitscher was a member of the Baptist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine. She is survived by her husband; four sons, Delmar and Ray of Clarion, Harold of Baudette, Minn., and Joel of Grundy Center, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Ralph and George Peterson of Clarion, Arthur and Howard Peterson of Eagle Grove.
