BELMOND - Arthur M. Finn, 86, of Belmond, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at the Belmond Health Care Center in Belmond. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond, with the Rev. David Beckman officiating. Burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery near Belmond. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dugger Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond, with a parish rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Arthur, the son of Thomas and Rosella Brown Finn, was born on July 18, 1913, on the family farm near Belmond. Growing up in the Belmond area, he attended country school in Pleasant Township District No. 5. Arthur lived on the family farm his entire working life, where he was a dairy and grain farmer. He later lived in the Belmond Apartments for a time, and then moved to the Belmond Health Care Center in 1992. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. He was a spiritual person and devoted to his faith. Arthur enjoyed watching television and sports. He also enjoyed pool and going for rides in the country.

Arthur is survived by one sister, Pearl Harmon, of Rockwell City, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gladys and Cecelia; and nine brothers, Earl, Frank, Fred, John, Lloyd, Leroy, Cecil, Robert and Gerald. Dugger Ewing Funeral Home
