David M. Riddle, a former resident of Blair county, died at his home in Eagle Grove, Ia., last Thursday, aged 85 years. Mr. Riddle had been severely burned about the face and body in a fall against a red hot stove a few days before and death resulted from the effects. The deceased was the eldest son of William Reynolds Riddle. He was married to Miss Margaret Smith, of Scotch Valley, who died five years ago. Mr. Riddle leaves six sons and one daughter, all of whom, except James Riddle, of Brook's Mills, Blair county, live in Iowa. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, viz: J. S. Riddle and Mrs. E. J. Moore, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Rebecca Caldwell, of Tyrone, and Robert Riddle, of Wilkes Barre.
