She was born on Aug. 26, 1928, in Dows, Iowa, daughter of Elmer and Alma Westlund. She worked as a stewardess for Eastern Airlines for two years at a time when flying was less of a bus ride and more of an adventure. She married Jack Krupicka in 1960, in Dows. They resided in northern and northeastern Iowa for 40 years. They recently relocated to the St. George area to be closer to family. Mary Ann was a homemaker and wife. She raised four children in Dubuque. She enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River and family outings to Eagle River, Wis. Her adventurous side included both snow skiing and water skiing. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting her children and family get-togethers. She and Jack both enjoyed dancing and could really "step-out," especially if the band was playing some good Tommy Dorsey or Glenn Miller swing.

Surviving are her husband, Jack; a brother, Tom (Karen) Westlund, of St. George; her children, Dan (Dixie) Krupicka, of Ivins, Utah, Linda (Larry) Mills, of Temecula, Calif., Nancy (Ray) Cottrell, of Neenah, Wis., and Wendy Wanzenberg, of Evanston, Ill.
