John C. Beireis Dies This Morning

Father of Mrs. John Tobias Dies Early Today. Services Saturday Afternoon.

Mr. John Beireis passed away this morning following an extended illness at the home of his daughter Mrs. Alta Tobias, residing 3 miles east of Pleasant Hill. The deceased was born in Germany on April 12, 1874 and came to this country with his parents at the age of 4 years. He lived in the vicinity of Covington for 48 years and for a long time was employed at the Stone Quarry here. He has made his home with his daughter for the past 3 years. Surviving besides the daughter is one son William Beireis of Eagle Grove, Iowa and a brother Michael Beireis of Versailles and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Routzahn funeral parlors with Rev. B.L. Stroup officiating. Burial will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
