C. E. Finical, a former trainman and conductor on the Chicago Great Western here, passed away Friday, at the City hospital in Owatonna, Minn. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the Eyler funeral home and at 2:00 at First Lutheran church in Clarion with Rev. Perry Sampson of Kanawha officiating. Mrs. R. P. Mueller sang two selections during the funeral. She was accompanied by Wayne Ebert. Pallbearers were Chris Folkedahl, E. J. Ryan, S. J. Ryan, L. S. Lieneman, Leo Hilton and Harry Attwooll. A military burial service was carried out by the American Legion and V.F.W. Internment was at Clarion Evergreen cemetery.

Cleo Edgar Finical was born April 24, 1893 at Newark, Ohio. He was the son of Jeffrey and Ella Finical. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith. His boyhood and school days were spent at Galion, Ohio. He was a veteran of World War I and after his discharge came to Clarion. He was with the Chicago Great Western for 36 years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Odd Fellow lodge of Clarion, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors and the Order of the Elks of Webster City. He was married to Albie Sebby on Nov. 11, 1920, and to this union was born one daughter, Donna. Mrs. Finical passed away on October 21, 1946. Mr. Finical is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, Robert Naefko of Ellendale, Minn. four grandchildren, Linda, Bobby, David and Diane, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Appleman of Mansfield Ohio, and Mrs. Walter Hollister of Ft. Dodge.Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Manford Wayne and Donna, Mr. and Mrs. Halverson, Ronnie and Marlene, Mrs. Robertson and Neil, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Morris, all of Ellendale, Minn. Mrs. Harold Naefke of Eagle Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Yanney of Renwick, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nodland of Zumbrota, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Howard McAviney, Mrs. Jerry Anderson, Miss Rosalie Anderson, and Mrs. Ann Sebby, all of Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Buck of Sioux Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Whitish and family of Webster City, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Thompson of Goldfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Heltkamp Jr. of Lehigh.
