Corene W. Adams, 75, a resident of Manor Care, died there Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Turner Chapel West, where friends may call after 10 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Connerly will officiate. Burial: Linwood Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Barry A. Adams and wife Cheryl of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Margo Wodstrchill and husband David of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Burnell Hagen and wife Genieve of Nevada, Russell Hagen and wife Iris of Cedar Falls, Dean Hagen of Kansas City, Mo., and Max Hagen and wife Carol of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Amy, Bradey, Tracy and Travis; and three plus great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buss; and parents.

Corene was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Dows, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence Hagen and Charlotte Trowbridge Hagen. She married Buss A. Adams on Aug. 4, 1946, in Nevada. She was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and Shriners Auxiliary and was past president of Van Buren and Wilson PTA. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. A memorial fund has been established for the Shriners Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary in lieu of flowers.
