Leonard J. Specht, 84, Raymore in Cass County, died Jan. 11, 1994, at the home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Vernon Cemetery, Dows, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Cullen Chapel, Raymore. The family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice. Mr. Specht was born in Dows and moved to this area in 1940. He was a pilot for Trans World Airlines Inc. for 29 years, retiring in 1969. He was past president of the Grain Valley Airport Corp. and was a member of the OX-5 Aviation Pioneers. His wife, Mary Maxine Specht, died in 1976. Survivors include a son, Steven Michael Specht, Raymore; a daughter, Susan Marvel, Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, Wilbur K. Specht, Danville, Iowa; and two granddaughters.
