Floyd Arthur Rasmussen, 77, of Marshalltown and formerly of Goldfield, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Floyd Arthur Rasmussen was born January 10, 1929 in Lacqui Parle, Minnesota, the son of Oliver and Emma Fay (Prusia) Rasmussen. Floyd graduated from the Goldfield High School. On January 17, 1951 he entered the U.S. Army, serving until December 31, 1952 during the Korean War. After the service he returned to Goldfield, where he took care of the Glenwood Cemetery for 15 years. Floyd was a member of the Park Christian Church in Goldfield. He is survived by three sisters, Florence Jorgensen of Humboldt, Grace and Linda; and one brother, Orville Rasmussen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Shirley Rasmussen.
