Vadonna G. Wilson, 86, died on Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the Hospice of Central Iowa in West Des Moines. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 1, at 1:00 p.m., at the Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines. Interment followed the service at the Merle Hay Mausoleum. Vadonna G. Wilson was born on April 13, 1920 in Hampton. She and Verle Wilson were married for 58 years, spending 32 years in West Des Moines. Vadonna worked several years at J.C. Penny's in the Credit and Layaway Department. They then retired to Clarion for 26 years. Following the death of her husband, she moved back to the Des Moines area.

She is survived by three daughters, Verlene Robertson, Vicki Searcy and husband, Chuck and Valerie Wilson; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Vadonna was preceded in death by her husband; and two sisters.
