Robert Lee Pluff, 71, of Rowan, Iowa died Monday, January 2, 2006. Robert, the son of Paul and Margaret Hendrixson Pluff, was born April 29, 1934, in Battle Creek, Michigan. He attended school in Battle Creek and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1953. Robert married Joan Klinger in 1954, and to this union three children were born. Robert worked at the Kelloggs Cereal plant until his retirement in 1990. Robert enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, and working on cars. Remodeling homes and doing handyman jobs were his hobbies as well. He loved to tell stories and make jokes. He had a generous heart & loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with a few volunteer groups; RVICS and MAPS. In 1995 Robert and his wife moved to Florida. Continuing with volunteer work they worked in the Care Center, and Bok Tower in Lake Wales, Florida. While living in Lake Wales, he enjoyed going to Fly Wheelers auctions and attending flea markets. Robert is survived by one son, Marcus (Sandra) Pluff of Rowan, Iowa, and two daughters, Dawn (Roger) Bryner of Olivet, MI, and Diane (Herb) Bishop of Harrisonville, MO. He is also survived by ten grandchildren two great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren, as well as ex-wife Joan (Dean) Williams of Frost Proof, FL. Robert Pluff is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Liz, a twin brother Donald, and a sister, Janet Dietz. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bellevue Christian Center in Bellevue, MI., with Pastor Steve Covert officiating. Memorials may be made in Robert's name. Interment is Hick Cemetery in Battle Creek. Arrangements made by Dugger Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond, IA.
