Tena Zwart, 87, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at the Edgebrook Care Center. Tena Christians was born Oct. 21, 1912, in Wright County, Iowa. She moved to the Edgerton, Minnesota area as a young girl, where she was raised and attended country school. She married Lawrence Zwart on March 10, 1938. They farmed in the Edgerton area, until retiring in 1978. Her husband died in October of 1988. She became a resident of Edgebrook Apartments and Care Center in 1984. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton.

She is survived by two sons: Lester of Irvine, Calif., and Dean of Bellflower, Calif. a daughter, Jan Brink of Edgerton 12 grandchildren eight great-grandchildren and three sisters: Ella DePoorter and Florence Walhof of Edgerton, Minn., and Norma Krosschell of St. Paul, Neb. Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton, with burial in Hillside Cemetery in Edgerton. Visitation is today from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home in Edgerton, MN.
