At his request, no service will be held for Lowell William Polmateer, who died Jan. 30, 1997, of cancer at age 60. Mr. Polmateer was born in Oct. 30, 1936, in Wright County, Iowa. He moved to Oregon and was raised in Roseburg and Merrill. He served in the U.S. Army. He drove trucks for Southern Pacific, PMT, Convoy and Ryder. He was working for Paragon Cable at the time of his death. Surviving are his wife, Helen, and daughters, Kimberly Roadman and Leslie, both of Vancouver, Wash. Disposition was by cremation.
