Myrl Currine Dahlgren, 92, passed away in Des Moines on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 from complications from a cracked vertebra in her neck. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 4, 2003 at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Clarion. Rev. Curt Miner and Rev. John Horton conducted the service. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of arrangements.

Myrl Currine Mosher was born in Wright County on July 7, 1911, the third child of Robert and Mary Ellen Mosher. She married Elmer Julius Dahlgren on December 25, 1929. To this union two children were born, a son, Carroll E. and a daughter, Corene Ann (Tootie). Myrl enjoyed many years of owning and operating restaurants in Iowa and Missouri. Besides working hard, she enjoyed her family, shopping, playing cards, dressing up, taking her family out to eat, and the Chicago Cubs. In most recent years she couldn’t wait to get to the Senior Center in Clarion for a good game of ‘500’. Myrl is survived by one daughter, Tootie Hall and husband, Tom; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin Mosher and Robert Mosher, Jr., both of Clarion, and Donald Mosher of Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Carroll; two sisters, Mildred Dahlgren and Velma Caquelin; and three brothers, Eldon, Gareth and Kenneth.
