George F. Crafton, 85, of Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Peoria, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1992, at Baxter County Regional Hospital in Arkansas. Born Dec. 25, 1906, in La Porte City, Iowa, to James and Lottie McAllister Crafton, he married Elsie Kuntz in April 1944. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Verle of Rowan, Iowa, and Donald of Espanola, N.M. one brother, Robert of Dows, Iowa; two sisters, Verna Ryan and Norma Hart, both of Dows; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. One sister and one grandson preceded him in death. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1953 of Mountain Home. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at Baxter Memorial Gardens in Moutain Home. Kirby & Family Funeral Directors in Mountain Home is in charge of arrangements.
