Aleta Maxine (Rusk) Rossotti, age 89, a resident of Atwater for 52 years passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. She was born May 18, 1915 on a farm northeast of Belmond, Iowa. The family moved to a farm south of Galt, Iowa in 1917. She attended rural schools and graduated from Clarion High School in 1934. The family then moved to a farm Northeast of Webster City that same year. She married Augustine Rossotti in 1952 in Stateline, CA. in South Lake Tahoe. She attended colleges at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, taught elementary school for 10 years, then graduated from American Institute of Business College, Des Moines, Iowa. She worked for Federal Civil Service for 31 years. She worked at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, Oakland Municapal Airport & Port of Alameda, and McClellan AFB in Sacramento, CA. She then worked at Sharpe Army Depot retiring in 1976. After her retirement she furthered her education by attending colleges at Merced College and Stanislaus State College, graduating with honors in 1987 with a degree in Nursing. She worked for six years for Hindes Hospice of Merced County and several years as a school nurse at Ballico Cressey School District Survivors include a nephew, Daniel Rusk of Reno, N.V.; niece, Karen Kranz of Watertown, S. Dakota; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rusk of Mesa, A.Z., and a cousin, Bill Champlin of Torrance, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Clarence Rusk; two brothers: Duane Rusk and Forrest Rusk, and sister-in-law, Goldie Rusk, all of Webster City, Iowa and her Husband, Augustine Rossotti. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M.8:00 P.M., Thursday, June, 17, 2004 at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home 3050 Winton Way in Atwater, CA. The family will be at the visitation from 6:00 P.M.8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Atwater. A Church service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 18, 2004 at Atwater Baptist Church 2124 First Street in Atwater. Pastor Del Hickson will officiate. The burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery 7651 W. Almond in Winton, CA. Arrangements are under the direction of Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Atwater.
