Biography:

Shalone “Storm” Lee (Burmood) Groven, 36, Northwood, died Thursday, February 10, 2011, at the home in Northwood.

A memorial service for Shalone will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. South, with Pastor Tom Martin of the Elk Creek Lutheran Church, Kensett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Elk Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kensett. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Shalone “Storm” Lee (Burmood) Groven was born on February 7, 1975, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Burmood. She attended school in Denver, Colorado, graduating from high school in Denver.

Storm enjoyed coloring, watching TV, listening to music, dancing and her two cats.

Storm and her husband Dean attended church at Elk Creek Lutheran Church, Kensett.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Dean Groven of Northwood; two sons, Johnny and Dominick Peraro both of Denver, Colorado; her mother, Elizabeth Burmood of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her sister, Stacy Sullivan of Denver, Colorado; her grandfather, Zeek Wbarra of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her father-in-law, Alton Groven of Kensett; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Marilyn) Groven of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bobby (Cheryl) Groven of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dennis (Shelly) Groven of Aurora, Colorado, and Todd (Linda) Groven of Maybe, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Amanda Jewell of Monroe, Michigan, and Alene Belcher of Missouri; as well as other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Michael Burmood, and Grandmother, Mickey Wbarra.
