Pauline M. “Susie” Miller, 99, of Northwood, died Nov. 15, 2011, at the Lutheran Retirement Home, Northwood. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 S., Northwood, with Rev. Wendi Gillan officiating. Burial was in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Northwood. Visitation was held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Pauline was born on June 19, 1912, at New Sharon, Iowa, the daughter of John and Bertha Enderson. She attended and graduated from Freeborn High School. She married Philip Miller on June 19, 1932. To this union two sons were born, Robert in 1933 and Jerald in 1937. In 1955 Philip and Pauline purchased The Northwood Greenhouse where they were in business for 18 years. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip, son, Robert, four brothers, three sisters and one grandson. She is survived by her son, Jerald and wife Joyce of Omaha, Neb.; and Robert’s wife, Maureen of Fort Mill, S. C.; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
