Russell was born on May 26, 1933 and passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Russell was a resident of Iowa at the time of passing. Russell attended Brookfield Township #8 through the eighth grade, and graduated from Kensett High School in 1951. Russell then joined the Army and was in the Korean War from 1953-1955. A funeral service was held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with Pastor Melinda McCluskey officiating. Interment was in Elk Creek Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kensett, Iowa.
