Beverly Marcella Wilmeth, 65, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2005, after a three year battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Hanlontown, Iowa, on March 2, 1940; she has lived in Colorado Springs since 1951.

She was preceded in death by parents, Bertine and Melvin Bakken; sister, Dena McDowall; and two nephews.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale; their son, Erik and wife, Holly; daughter, Tina; daughter, Julie and husband, Mark Bontrager; and grandchildren: Kaitlin, Luke and Jacob Wilmeth, and Joshua, Daniel, and Timothy Bontrager. She is also survived by brother, Ole Bakken; and sisters: Thelma Hottel, Genevieve Moen, Sylvia Toney, Karen Predovich; four nieces and 11 nephews.

Beverly was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Throughout her battle with cancer, she radiated a joy and strong trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her sense of humor and compassion for others was ever-present -- clearly stemming from her strong faith. Her gentle and quiet spirit flowing out of her selfless devotion to family and friends, is the legacy she leaves.

We extend our gratitude to all those who have shown their support throughout Bev's life.

Visitatin will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2005, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Home. Memorial services to be held 1:00 p.m., March 11, 2005, Grace Presbyterian Church, 2511 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Presbyterian Church and Odyssey Hospice.
