Dellis Arthur Walk of rural Grafton, died February 22, 2009, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton with the Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery, Grafton.

Dellis Arthur Walk was born December 20, 1924, to Edwin and Jennie (Rademaker) Walk on the family farm northwest of Grafton, IA. He stayed on that place until January 12, 2004.

He was baptized, confirmed, and married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Grafton. He and his brother Earl ushered for many years. He crop farmed and raised cattle. In later years Dellis was a collector of antiques, going to many auction sales.

Dellis was a director for the Worth County Historical Society, a trustee on the Grafton Fire Department, and a director on the Lutheran Retirement Home Board.

On October 11, 2001, he had a severe accident and subsequently from that, suffered a severe stroke. From the happiness he shared with a life time friend in August 2001, he knew that he could count on this friend to be a comforter and companion. From this caring friendship Dellis Walk and Norma Jensen married on December 8, 2002 at Emmanuel Lutheran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; a sister, Lucille Miller; and brothers, Earl, Cecil, and Eugene Walk.

Dellis is survived by his wife Norma, three step-children; brother Everett (Beverly) Walk; many other relatives and friends.
