NORTHWOOD, IOWA — Dorothy “Dottie” Stock, 77, of Northwood, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at Good Shepherd, Mason City.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at First Lutheran Church, Northwood, with the Reverend Barbara Wills officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be held at 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 1st Ave. South, Northwood, Iowa.

Dottie was born January 07, 1939, in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Winifred (Wright) Dice. She graduated from Tipton High School class of 1957. Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles on December 28, 1958, in Stanwood, and to this union two children were born.

Dottie enjoyed quilting, gardening, cross stitch, painting, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. Dorothy was mostly found in her flower and vegetable garden from spring until fall.

She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Green Thumb Garden Club, and 20s Study Club.

Dottie is survived by her husband, Charles Stock, of Northwood; daughter, Peg (Dan) Patterson, of Northwood; son, Ken stock, of St. Joseph, Missouri; five grandchildren, Joe (Kari) Stock, Hannah Stock, Heide Stock, Robert (Lisa) Patterson and Heather (Tony) Brown; five great-grandchildren, Boston, Wyatt, Hayden and Leona Stock, and Natalie Patterson; two brothers, Jim Dice and Rick (Carrie) Dice; five sisters, Mary Jo (John) Rouse, Georgia (Clive) Hill, Patricia Lovell, Debbie (Ken) Bibby and Gerry Esser.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, one aunt, three uncles.
