Edna Elma Hanson
Edna was the daughter of Bertha (Hadsall) and Nicholas P. Juhl born on January 5, 1919 in Waltham, Minnesota.
Edna received God’s gift in Baptism on November 9, 1943 at Northwood Lutheran Church by Pastor O.H. Hove and affirmed that faith in confirmation on November 14, 1943.
She attended rural school in Mason City and Northwood and graduated from Northwood High School and also graduated from Pitze’s Beauty School in Waterloo. She worked as a Beauty Operator in Northwood and at her home for 18 years. She worked as a clerk at Montgomery Ward, a clerk typist at King Seeley Thermos in Albert Lea and retired as a clerk typist from Deluxe Products in Lake Mills.
On January 17, 1944 she married Reuben Hanson in Albert Lea. One daughter Mary Eller was born to them.
She was a member of Sion Church and belonged to a circle and enjoyed quilting and helping at bazaars.
She loved to golf, fish, bowl and spend time with her daughter and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: her parents Bertha and Nicholas Juhl; brother Dilbert Juhl; sisters Charlotte Lurch, Ester Johl, Phyllis Ballandby, Helen Johnson, Cleo Gullickson; husband Reuben Hanson.
She is survived by: a daughter Mary Honsey; four grandsons David (Jessica), Daniel (Theresa), Paul (Leah) and Robert Honsey; and their families which include six great grandchildren; a sister Hazel Troe.
